Football poster | As all great balls should, it began with a revolution. The Teamgeist was the first to break from the traditional 32-panel design introduced in 1970, replacing it with just 14 curved panels that created a sleek, modern look. Though praised for its innovation, it was also criticized for its unpredictable flight—something made evident in the tournament’s opening match, where spectacular, swerving goals from Philipp Lahm and Torsten Frings set the tone. But the balance was restored when Alessandro Del Piero’s perfectly placed chip into the top corner broke German hearts and knocked the hosts out.
